Each year a group of community people get their old clothes on and walk about the streets and alleys of Thame to clear the litter from our streets. This year the Thame Tidy Up will take place on 11th May. If you would like to be involved then please do contact Sue Downhill. Biffa are kindly picking up the litter bags from different points around Thame rather than volunteers having to lug it all to one point. We hope we won't find any needles ! But if we do - we don't pick them up - we just let Biffa know where these are and they will take care of these. Litterpickers, hi-vis jackets, gloves (similar to surgical) and the bags are supplied by Biffa but more litterpickers will be supplied by a variety of organisations from Thame e.g. Thame Equipment Bank. The equipment for litterpicking will be delivered to Racquets Fitness Centre during the week before the event. We'll be devising a way of divvying up the litterpickers as, although we are organising for as many as we can, there won't be one each!
